Most trainers look at the symptom. I look at the whole picture.
Diet, sleep, exercise, environment, breed, drive — I look at all of it.
THEN we train. We build on a solid foundation. That’s when real change happens, that’s when training sticks.
Is your dog missing some key manners? Do you wish they were more reliable on walks or better behaved when guests arrive?
Our Good Dog Transformation program provides that essential refresh or a brand-new foundation. Not suitable for reactive dogs.
Through hands-on 1:1 training, practical walk-and-trains, and real-world exposure, we equip your dog with the skills to be a truly good dog, making your life together easier and more enjoyable.
Imagine a dog that walks calmly by your side, listens attentively, and comes back when called.
Our Level 1 Obedience class is where that journey begins. We’ll give you the skills to build a reward system with both food and play to build a strong bond and the essential skills for a well-behaved dog you can enjoy life with.
Just need help with getting your dog to come back when called? Check out our Recall workshop. A one off class to perfect the art of coming back!

I cannot recommend Michelle highly enough. Michelle is the most knowledgeable and caring trainer I have ever worked with. My dog Sadie absolutely adores her. We have worked with other trainers before, but Michelle has been the one that has truly made a difference with Sadie’s reactivity.
Michelle is AMAZING at what she does!! I have a very challenging American Staffy who hasn’t been easy to deal with, but Michelle has made mine and his life so much easier with her amazing knowledge, patience and consistency. Her group training classes have been so good for both of our confidence.
Michelle is amazing! She explains and demonstrates the required skills clearly.
There have been times when I’ve felt completely lost and hopeless with my dog’s behaviour, but Michelle always has fantastic advice that has truly helped.
Your world keeps getting smaller. You stop going to the places you used to love
because it’s too hard with the dog.
It doesn’t have to stay that way. Complete the quiz and we will give you personalised advice based on your answers.
If you feel like you’re managing a problem instead of living a life.
If the dog you imagined when you first got them — the one you’d take everywhere,
the one who’d be your adventure companion — feels further and further away.
It doesn’t have to stay that way.
I grew up on a property where Kelpies were an integral part of my dad’s day. Watching him work with his dogs — their own code of whistles and hand gestures, and the occasional “get back” or “come by” — left a mark on me early. It wasn’t until the world slowed down that I would come full circle to my lifelong passion of working with dogs. That kind of connection between a person and their dog — built on trust, communication, and real understanding — is something I’ve been drawn to my whole life.
I spent 18 years in the travel industry, but the pull towards dogs never went away. When the world came to a standstill and I brought home Indie, everything clicked. I did puppy school and knew immediately — this is what I’m meant to do. I’d always been able to read dogs, understand what they were communicating, connect with them. I just hadn’t had the space to realise it could be my life’s work.
I threw myself into it completely. I completed my Certificate III in Dog Training & Behaviour, volunteered, studied, and was mentored by some of the best in the industry — both in Australia and internationally. That ability to read a dog’s body language, to understand what they’re actually telling you, and to bridge the gap between dog and owner — that’s at the heart of everything I do.
“I’ve tried three other trainers before finding Michelle. She’s the first one who
actually explained WHY my dog was reacting and gave me a clear plan. Not just ‘use
more treats.’ Real, practical advice that works.”
“Michelle is knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about what she
does. She doesn’t just train dogs — she teaches you how to understand your dog.
Worth every cent.”
“Michelle was so kind and caring with Frankie from the very first session. She made
us feel comfortable and never judged us for our dog’s behaviour. We finally feel like
a team.”
WhatsApp access throughout the program so you’re never stuck. Ask questions, share wins, get help when you need it.
I’m based on the Southern Gold Coast and service the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for in-person sessions. I also work with clients anywhere in the world via Zoom — so no matter where you are, I can make it work.
Honestly? Usually both. I coach you and train your dog at the same time. Most of the hands-on work will be done by you, with me guiding you every step of the way. The goal is to set you up so you don’t need me there holding your hand forever — you and your dog will be working as a team.
Every dog and every owner moves at a different pace, so there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. What I can tell you is this: if you’re consistent and follow the program I build for you, you’ll likely see results faster than you expect. For basic obedience, you can
generally notice improvement within one or two sessions. For more complex behaviours, it may take a few weeks. The more you implement the changes into your everyday life — not just once a week when you “have time” — the quicker and more lasting the results will be. It took time to get here. Trust the process, stay consistent,
and I guarantee you’ll see change.
That’s one of the most common things I hear — and honestly, it makes sense. Not every trainer is the right fit for every dog or every owner. Before I do anything, I take the time to really get to know your dog, what you’re dealing with day to day, and what you actually want life to look like. My programs include support during sessions and in between them, and I’ve worked with thousands of breeds and issues. I focus on real- life results and lasting change — not quick fixes.
I train the dog in front of me. My goal is to limit frustration and provide clarity — for both the dog and the owner. I believe there is a time and a place for yes, and a time
and a place for no. My methods are balanced. I may recommend a tool you haven’t used before, but every decision is made on a dog-by-dog basis — whatever is going to get you to your goals in the fairest way for your dog. If you don’t believe in saying no (fairly) to your dog, I’m probably not the trainer for you — and that’s okay.
Yes — I offer a payment plan for the Reactivity Reset Program. For other programs, please get in touch and I’m happy to discuss what works for you.
You’re welcome to reschedule your session with 72 hours’ notice at no charge. Cancellations are non-refundable.
Not at all. Dogs of any age can learn — the old saying simply isn’t true. My programs and training are tailored specifically to your dog, which means I meet them where they are, at whatever stage of life they’re in. Age is rarely the barrier people think it is.
The discovery call is the perfect place for that. It’s free, there’s no pressure, and it’s just a conversation. You can ask me anything.
It’s a fair question, and one I hear from time to time. The honest answer is that behind every session is years of study, thousands of dollars in ongoing education, and a lot of work that happens outside of your lesson time — planning, follow-up, and continued support. When you invest in training, you’re not just paying for the hour in front of you. You’re investing in years of experience, proven results, and a program designed to leave you with a dog you can genuinely enjoy every minute with. And that?
That’s priceless.
The discovery call is the perfect place for that. It’s free, there’s no pressure, and it’s just a conversation.
You can ask me anything.
It all starts with a free discovery call, and from there I’ll recommend the program that best suits you and your dog. If you’d like to meet me in person before committing to a full program, I do offer an introductory session — this is priced at a higher rate
than a standard program session, as my focus is on helping you get the full benefit of a structured program rather than filling my calendar with one-off sessions. That said, I completely understand if you need to see if it’s the right fit first. If you go on to join a program, the cost of the introductory session is deducted from your package.
We jump on a Zoom call and talk all about your dog. No pressure, no pitch.
Together we work out which program is the right fit for you and your dog.
You start building food motivation, learning the YES marker
communication system, and then the real hands-on training begins.
Life is too short to struggle with your dog. Live the life you dreamed when you got your dog!
